Hello! I’m Kathy Fisher. I’ll be working directly with you to help you build your new website. Below I’ve outlined the materials I need from you to get started as well as the design and development process.
What I need to get started:
At the beginning of your website project, you’ll need to send the following items to me at kathy@fishergreencreative.com.
• Your company logo
• Login information for your website hosting account (user name and password)
• Login information for your domain name account (user name and password)
• Login information for your current website if you have one
• Brand Style Guide if you have one
• Images and graphics for your website
• Copy for your website
• Complete and return your second questionnaire
Sharing Your Content
We will set up a folder in Google Drive and share it with you. The images and graphics should go in the folder designated for them. The text should go in the folder designated for that.
Please feel free to reach out to me directly for any recommendations on obtaining hosting or a domain name. We can also help with the creation of a logo, style guidelines, stock photography or copywriting.
The Communication Process
• Via Email
Know that you can reach me at kathy@fishergreencreative.com. anytime. During our busiest times, I’ll do my best to reply within 24 hours if the following day is a work day. I don’t check email or respond on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays.
The Website Design Process
• Create Wireframes
I will take the time to create the pages for your website and show you where I would suggest placing the various pieces of content I’ve received. This step will help us present your content in the best way possible for your audience.
• Design the Website
Using your brand guidelines, questionnaire answers, logo, and the wireframes we’ve created, we will begin to design your website, This is the stage at which fonts, colors, and the overall aesthetic are added.
• Build the Website
After you have signed off on your final design, we will begin building your website.
• Revisions, Edits, and Testing
After you have signed off on your final design, we will begin building your website.
• Test and Launch the Website
Once the site is ready to go live, we will take a backup of the site and move it to your hosting server. We will retain this backup copy for one year unless you have elected to let us maintain your website.
You will have one week from the launch date to review the site and request minor changes. After a period of one week, our hourly rate will apply to all requested changes.
• Website Instruction and Materials Delivery
If you have signed up for tutorial videos they will be created at this stage. We will also send you our Website Owners Manual detailing all relevant login information for the various pieces of software used to build your site as well as a schedule for maintaining your site. PLEASE KEEP A RECORD OF ALL LOGIN INFORMATION PROVIDED AND DOWNLOAD ANY VIDEO TUTORIALS YOU WOULD LIKE TO REFERENCE IN THE FUTURE.
• Website Maintenance Begins
If you have signed up for tutorial videos they will be created and shared with you at this stage. We will also send you our Website Owners Manual detailing all relevant account information for the various pieces of software used to build your site as well as a schedule for maintaining your site. You are still welcome to add website maintenance at this stage.
• Post-Launch
Upon completion, you’ll receive a link to my “moving forward” process where you’ll receive tips and tricks on marketing your new website and also information on our Maintenance/Security Plan which we highly recommend for all our clients.
